Instructions for abstract/video submission

The abstract/video submission is open, all abstracts/videos must be submitted by October 20, 2022, midnight CET. Send the abstract/video by email/wetransfer or similar to: fiod@axenso.com

The Abstract Scientific Committee will accept abstract with high scientific level for poster presentation. The 6 best submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentation in the plenary room.

Abstract Submission Checklist:
  • The abstract must be written in fluent English. Please ensure your abstract does not contain spelling, grammar, or scientific mistakes, as it will be reproduced exactly as submitted. Linguistic accuracy is your responsibility. No proof reading will be done. 
  • The abstract title should be brief and clearly indicate the nature of the abstract. 
  • Contact information: the corresponding author should be the first author (presenter) of the abstract, unless otherwise noted during submission. His name, degree, affiliation, phone number and email address must be provided as he will receive all future correspondence. Changes will not be made to the spelling of authors' names after the submission deadline; please proof your co-authors' names carefully. 
  • Available topics are:
    - Basics for diagnosis of fecal incontinence and obstructed defecation (internal and external rectal prolapse)
    - Diagnostic algorithm for fecal incontinence and obstructed defecation 
    - Medical-lifestyle management and pelvic floor rehabilitation
    - Surgery for fecal incontinence
    - Management of fecal incontinence in special conditions
    - Double incontinence and multidisciplinary approach
    - Complications and recurrences due to surgery of pelvic floor dysfunctions
    - Difficult clinical case (case report)
  • The abstract needs to be structured as follows: Introduction / Methods / Results / Conclusions. 
  • Abbreviations should be defined. 
  • Trade names cannot be mentioned in the title. However, trade names in brackets will be accepted in the body of the text. 
  • A conflict of interest disclosure must be clearly written on the bottom of the abstract body (the text for this disclosure should NOT be accounted for the abstract words count). 
  • The reviewers will judge the abstracts according to standard of English, objectivity of statements, description of what was done, suitability of methods to aims, conclusions confirmed by objective results, ethics, scientific value, potential clinical value, originality of work and overall impression. 
  • Submitting authors will be notified by October 20, 2022 whether their abstract has been accepted, and they will be informed at the same time about the date, time and form of their presentation. All notifications will be sent out to the e-mail address given on the submission form
  • The Author presenting the abstract selected must be registered to the Conference in advance.

Video Submission Checklist:
  • The entire video must not exceed 7’
  • .mp4/.mov formats only   
  • 720p (1280x720 pixels), 1080p (1920x1080 pixels) or higher resolutions only 
  • Horizontal format (avoid vertical mobile phones cameras) 
  • Set a front light (natural or artificial)
  • Use headphones with microphone and avoid external noises as much as possible
  • Send the video by email/wetransfer or similar to: fiod@axenso.com

  • The Author presenting the video selected must be registered to the Conference in advance.
